RETROFIT INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

PRE-INSTALLATION SURVEY

PREREQUISITES FOR INSTALLATION

PHIBER Systems are specifically designed as “kits” for professional installation into a vessel’s native systems. The basic requirements for the installation of a functional PHIBER System are:

  • Presence of a Raw Water System
  • Presence of a Freshwater Source (≥10 gallon capacity tank or dock connection)
  • Presence of 12-24V DC Power

If your boat has all three of these, then it is a candidate for a PHIBER System.

FWF Pumps that provide the proper Gallons-per-Minute (GPM) and Pressure (PSI) must be installed to achieve a proper FWF. For many smaller systems, a vessel’s native freshwater system pump and plumbing is adequate, but larger systems may require a dedicated FWF feed pump. Installation of dedicated FWF pumps is at the discretion of the installer and will vary depending on several factors including raw water flow rates and plumbing size.

QUALIFIED INSTALLATION & DOCUMENTATION

POST-INSTALL DOCUMENTATION

PHIBER Systems are currently available for direct purchase from any dealer/installer listed on our website. We are currently developing the dealer/installer network and will be providing training classes at various locations throughout the remainder of 2025 and into 2026 to support that effort.

We are always available to consult directly with an installer or OEM manufacturer on your behalf to ensure a proper installation and return for your investment.

Every PHIBER System that is installed on a vessel will be unique, even though the tenets of design are the same. Systems should be professionally installed in accordance with the vessel’s specific requirements to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI) for the operator. Qualified installers should be competent in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and the applicable ABYC Standards.

Completed installations on inboard engines with raw water networks must be documented and submitted for warranty by PHIBER Systems. Failure to submit System documentation of installation will void warranty coverage.
